Metaverse keeps gaining momentum as The Sandbox partners with Saudi Arabia in an agreement for future development.
The announcement was made by Sebastien Borget, the co-founder and CEO of the Sandbox.
In his announcement, he said “a true honour to sign our MOU partnership ceremony between The Sandbox and Saudi Arabia Digital Government Authority (DGA) during leap 2023 conference and we look forward to exploring, advising and supporting mutually each other in activation of the metaverse!”
Recently, the Metaverse space has been quiet probably due to the bear market.
This partnership agreement may bring more announcements from the metaverse.
Though the current partnership between The Sandbox and Saudi Arabia has not specified scope.
It is believed that the signing of the MOU (memorandum of understanding) is a signal for a broader agreement.
The Sandbox and Saudi Arabia
The Sandbox partnership with Saudi Arabia was signed at the leap conference at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Leap conference is an annual tech convention held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Leap 2023 is the second edition of the conference which took place between February 6th to February 9th, 2023.
The conference is centered around tech where tech innovators and leading experts from around the world come together to discover new ideas, build new partnerships, and connect with inspiring mentors and investors.
There is no doubt that the middle east is pushing blockchain technology within the region and this partnership might be another stepping stone to greater achievements.
